The emperor Jahangir gives permisssion to east india company (EIC) as a trading company in india at 1608. EIC establish three admin models to govern different district trading posts.They are madras presidency, bombay presidency,bengal presidency.
Bengal presidency or Presidency of Fort or william or bengal province is establish in 1612.
Bombay presidency or presidency of bombay castle or bombay province is founded in 1618.
Madras presidency or presidency of Fort st George or madras province is established at 1640.
These presidencies works independently and gives accountability to court of directors (COD) it has 24 members at starting later it increases.
