 Right to equality

        right to equality (14-18) and it is stated in preamble that equality of status and of opportunity and to promote among them all. The motive of right to equality is everyone should treated equally by the law.

        article 14 has two principles equality before law, equal protection of laws. equality before law comes from british &it says absence of any special privileges in favor of any person. the equal subjection of all persons to the ordinary law of the land administered by ordinary law of court. equal protection of laws comes from American and it says The like should be treated alike without any discrimination. equal protection  allows reasonable discrimination based on circumstances and situation of people.

equality before law have exceptions 
                 president/Governor is not answerable to any court for the exercise and performance of the powers and duties of his office. no criminnal proceedings shall be instituted or continued against the president/ Governor in any court during his term of office. no civil proceedings against president/governor shall be instituted during his term of office in any couty in respect to any act done by him in his personal capacity, whether before or after he entered upon his office, until the expiration of 2 months next after notice has been delivered to him. They cannot arrested or imprisoned during his term of office.no MP/MLA shall be liable to any proceedings in any court in respect of anything said or any vote given by them in parliament  or any committee thereof. court cannot take any action against a person doing true news reporting/publishing report related to proceedings of either house of parliament of legislature of state. foreign sovereigns(rulers), ambassadors ,diplomats UNO and its agencies enjoy immunity from criminal and civil proceedings.
